Lene van Alten
Teacher Classical Ballet and Modern Dance
As a little girl I started dancing and to my own surprise I am still going on. When I was 13 I ended up at the pre-education course of Danshuis Haarlem and I completely finished it until I was 18 years old. Then I moved to Paris, where I spent a year and a half studying the Graham technique. At that time I have built up a lot of passion and appreciation for this style, so that is why I base my lessons on the philosophies of Martha Graham. At the moment I am doing the Bachelor of Dance at ArtEZ in Arnhem.
Dance is "thirst-quenching" in my desire for challenge. I have always done a lot of sports, but because dance offers such a wide variety of movements, I have always felt the most comfortable with dance.
