Teacher classical ballet / jazz / improvisation / children's dance / production group
I graduated from the ArtEZ Dance Teacher Training program in 2019. Since then, I've enjoyed teaching a variety of styles and dancers of all ages. In addition to my classes at Danshuis Haarlem, I work as a freelance teacher for organizations such as the Nederlands Dans Theater (NDT), write as an editor for Dansdocent.nu, and have worked for many years as a specialist teacher in special education. I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Creative Producing at DAS Gratuate School (AHK).
My classes are all about fun, creativity, energy, and challenge. I believe it's important to build a strong bond with my students so they feel safe in my class. This allows them to grow and enjoy themselves to the fullest. For me, dance is the perfect balance between controlling the body and letting go of the mind. If I can convey that to my students, I've achieved my goal.
