Not every parent can afford ballet lessons. There are options for support for parents with little money. Start an application with Sam& for a contribution to the tuition fee! Sam& is a collaboration between Leergeld Nederland, Jeugdfonds Sport & Culture, Jarige Job Foundation and Children's Aid. Sam& ensures that the application reaches the correct organization.
In a very playful way, the toddlers make a start with the basic principles of Dance, such as body awareness, musicality and dance formation. With the help of songs, attributes and inspirational music, the children are dancing amongst the stars for 45 minutes! The children finish their course with a small presentation.
In the children classes (4 - 6 years) much attention is paid to improvisation and general dance formation. Facets like musicality, body awareness and space use are introduced in a playful way. At the end of the season, the children participate in a great performance in the Stadsschouwburg in Haarlem.
The Danshuis offers combination lessons of classical ballet and modern dance. The lesson starts with about half an hour of classical ballet technique and then dances from the modern dance technique. A great lesson for children who like to work on their technique, but who also like to dance freely. During the modern dance part, improvisation is also used, so that the children can fully express their own creativity and develop it further. Please note: all dancers aged 10-18 years are required to take at least 2 lessons per week.
